On Saturday, October 14, Redemption is having an outreach event on both campuses. We are partnering, once again, with Lifeline Christian Mission to pack nutritious meals for hungry kids and families in Haiti. Together, we will pack nearly 43,000 meals — combined — on both Redemption campuses.
Meal packing will take place in three sessions (two in Jasper, one in Loogootee). Each session will last one-and-a-half hours (with approximately 100 volunteers per session). This is an event the whole family can participate in. To help with some of the costs, we are asking for a $10 donation per volunteer the day of the event.
Session One will be at 11 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. on the Jasper Campus. This session is full.
Session Two will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on the Jasper Campus.
Session Three is 4 to 5:30 p.m. on the Loogootee Campus.
Our hearts break for our the people of Southeast Texas. We continue to be in earnest prayer for everyone there. Right now it is difficult, and in some areas not even possible, to physically be on the ground in the Houston area to assist those in need. The best way we can help is to send funds to those who are on the front line in the midst of the devastation. We wanted to let you know of two options you can use to give to the relief effort, both with personal ties to Redemption.

Loogootee: On the final Sunday of each month, Redemption’s Loogootee Campus collects items for the Backpack Blessings program for area children. There are various items needed, such as: pudding cups, Pop Tarts, fruit cups, 7.5 oz. microwaveable pasta, microwavable mac & cheese bowls, instant oatmeal envelopes, and cereal bars (please, no peanut products). For more information, e-mail Brian or Cassie Self.
Jasper: On the final Sunday of each month, Redemption’s Jasper Campus collects non-perishable items for the Community Food Bank. Food Bank Sunday is a simple way for us to reflect the mercy God has shown us to those in need in our community. Monetary donations can also be made at each Welcome Desk.
