CCJ’s Associate Minister Heading to Ben Davis Christian Church

From CCJ’s Associate Minister Ryan Heathco:

RyanHeathcoFor a season of ministry, I have served you as a minister at Christian Church of Jasper. However, this season of ministry is ending. This ending is the beginning of a new season of ministry as the Lead Minister of Ben Davis Christian Church.

In February 2008, I arrived at Christian Church of Jasper. The size of the church has changed in more ways than one. However, one thing has not: The mission and vision of Christian Church of Jasper.

I support the mission and vision of the church — from the decision to restructure the eldership to the decision to have one church in multiple locations. Most of all, to resume the construction of the worship center and reach 24,000 unreached men and women.

I have more admiration for the elders of Christian Church of Jasper than ever before, and I feel more support than ever before. And I want to thank the men who lead this church and my family. You are God’s workmen, thank you for investing in me for six years.

Most of all, I want to thank Darrel Land. Darrel has been my greatest teacher. I would follow him anywhere and do anything for him. Darrel, you have taught me lessons that I would have never learned without you. Thank you for being my mentor and friend.

To all of you — you are my joy. Lynn and I will miss you, and while we hope to see you again soon, let me simply say this, if Jesus is who He says He is and does all that He has promised, then we will have all eternity to catch up and make up for lost time.

With All the Love in the World,

Ryan D. Heathco

From CCJ:

We are excited about this opportunity for Ryan and the future of Ben Davis Christian Church. We are all a part of God’s Kingdom and know that God determines the times and places which we live and He has called Ryan to BDCC in Indianapolis.

Ryan will be with CCJ for the remainder of January and will begin at Ben Davis in February. CCJ Senior Minister Darrel Land will take much of the sermon schedule for the near future with CCJ Youth Minister Drew Thurman preaching a bit more often. More details will be coming soon.

Sunday’s (Jan. 5, 2014) predicted bad weather led us to cancel our 11:15 a.m. service. Because of the cancellation and bad conditions that were predicted, many missed this important message. You can check it out now via our YouTube Channel.

DO OVER: CCJ’s First Sermon Series of 2014

Who wouldn’t like a chance to do over an embarrassing outburst, a rash decision, or a bad choice? Frankly, we could use a do over of our entire lives.

This study from the Book of Romans shows you that, while you can’t make the change, Jesus can do over your life.

CCJ’s Community Groups will be following the sermon series in studies designed for small groups. The series will last from January 12 to February 16.

When? Sundays. 8:45, 10, 11:15 a.m.
Where? Worship Center B at CCJ.
